Visitors can also discover the small traditional fishing port and explore the surrounding area towards the church of Notre-Dame-des-Laves. Accessible by car via the RN2, l'Anse des Cascades has a car park and footpaths making it easy to explore.

The Langevin waterfall: the jewel of the Sud Sauvage

La Langevin waterfallalso known as Grand GaletIt is one of the most visited on the island. Located on the Langevin River, in Saint-Joseph (south of the island) It offers an idyllic setting where coolness and serenity come together. Its natural pools are perfect for a dip after a lovely walk along the river.

This waterfall is easily accessible by car (D33 road from Saint-Joseph), making it a popular excursion for families and groups of friends. Picnic tables are dotted around the site, allowing visitors to extend their visit with a convivial lunch in the heart of nature.

Activities around the Langevin waterfall

As well as swimming, the site invites you to explore the surrounding area in greater depth.
